Congrats to Coach Billy Brown for celebrating his 5th year

as Head Coach for Swim Kauai

Swim Kauai Aquatics (SKA) was founded in 2005 to teach swimming skills and proficiency for children and adults on Kauai. The club encourages physical fitness and competition through USA Swimming organized events. SKA teaches swim technique, strokes, discipline through conditioning and goal setting, fun and teamwork. We emphasize friendship and competition. We are a parent-run 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization coached by certified professional coaches. We swim at the YMCA `Ohana Aquatic center in Lihue. We support the YMCA learn to swim programs and other water sports like water polo, diving and ocean swimming. We also sponsor high school swimming and we are a USMS registered (masters)program. In 2012 we registered 105 swimmers for the 2013 season! JOIN US!

34 new AA standards and 8 new state cuts.

Sunset Swimathon over 75 participants on gorgeous day

SKA swims away with 19 Namolokama Hanalei Ocean Swim Medals. Congrats to all club swimmers,coaches and parents who participated in a great event. Way to go Zach and sister Julia Safford for going one- two in the 9-12 age group pier swim and Ari and Adan Hendrickson going one -two in 8 and unders. Mahalo to Namolokama Canoe Club for sponsoring all 12 and unders this year!!

July 12-15 2012 Swim Kauai Aquatics State team finishes 11th at Hawaiian Age Group Long Course championship powered by the fantastic girls trio of 13-14 girls high point champion Kate Machorek, 15-16 high point runner -up Yasmine Ware and Anya Littlefields' domination with 6 titles and high point winner 17-18 girls. Between the three they won 11 championships in the four day meet. SKA finished just 15 points out of 6th place, with scoring swims from Quinn Hannah-White, Tambrina Fairbanks and Zach Safford.
